Static filters in the chemical industry

In order to reduce the concentration of harmful substances in chemical production sites, large volumes of air are recirculated and filtered. A static filter is an excellent separation membrane that ensures that the dust can be removed from the air stream. The dust ends up in the filter and, depending on the type of filter, is either periodically replaced or blown clean with compressed air. Air Solutions offers various solutions that are mounted in the chemical production areas themselves, in an air duct or a filter plenum. The most important variables are accessibility, dimensions, filter class, filter frame and the housing / cladding. A static filter can be built up with several different filter steps one after the other. The best choice often depends on several factors: where dust is released, which substances/vapours need to be captured and how much space is available.

Air Solutions filters are available in various designs and classes from panel filters to bag filters to HEPA absolute filters or activated carbon filter cylinders to remove odour components. Filter frames are available in cardboard, plastic, galvanised steel, steel coated or stainless steel (AISI 304 and AISI 316L). The filters can then be mounted in a filter frame, filter box (single wall or insulated), air handling unit or mobile unit. Different materials can also be used for the casing. In order to be able to easily maintain/replace the filters, the cabinets are fitted with an access hatch or door.

Special filters:

- Filter material available on roll

- Metal filters for grease and oil mist

- Antibacterial filters to prevent the formation of mould

- ATEX filters for explosion-proof design

- Air filters with energy label A plus

- Molecular filters to neutralise odour

- NOx filters (or nitrogen filters)

The Air Solutions staff are always ready to advise you, which filters are most suitable for your situation.

Air Solutions Holland engineers, builds, assembles and carries out maintenance on static filters in the chemical industry varying in size from 2.000 to 200.000 m3/h. In addition to static filters, Air Solutions Holland also supplies compressed air cleanable cartridge- or bag house filters:
