Clean air in the pharmaceutical industry

During the manufacturing of many pharmaceutical products, gases and vapours quickly spread around a process line. Fine dust and aerosols (very small liquid droplets or solid particles floating in the air) can contaminate the surrounding air. In pharmaceutical production areas, source extraction and ventilation can be used to reduce the concentration of these types of contaminants. With source extraction, gases, vapours, fine dust and aerosols can be removed as close to the source as possible. Source extraction is mounted between the place where the dust is released and the place where the worker breathes in. Air Solutions Holland has a wide range of source extraction solutions in house, for more information click here.

Extracting dust at the source is important, but then it is often desirable to purify the air again so that it can be reused. Air Solutions Holland has a number of air filtration solutions to minimize dust concentration in your plant, such as static filters, cartridge filters and bag house filters.

In addition to dust problems, odour components are often created or solvents are used during the production process of pharmaceuticals. In order to neutralize these kinds of nuisance emission problems Air Solutions Holland has several air scrubbers in its delivery program. Click on the buttons below for more information.
