Direct and indirect air heating processing waste
The processing of waste often requires warm, sometimes even hot air for all kinds of process steps. Air Solutions Holland designs and supplies direct and indirect fired air heaters for this industry. The most efficient way of heating is of course directly with a gas or oil burner, but in this case the combustion air is mixed with the heated up process air. For some processes this is not advisable because of the combustion residues that may come into contact with the end product.
To prevent this contamination Air Solutions Holland has developed an indirect heater which also works with fuels such as natural gas, biogas or diesel and even fuel oil. However, the process air never comes into contact with the flue gases that are discharged directly to the outside via the chimney.
The unique shape and design of the combustion chamber in combination with the flue gas exchanger gives an enormously high efficiency. The combustion air is cooled down as much as possible in the flue gas heat exchanger and is even condensed to transfer extra energy to the process air stream. In this case, the combustion chamber and flue gas exchanger are made of stainless steel to prevent unwanted corrosion. The combustion chamber can be built into various assemblies, from air handling unit to duct version to room circulation unit. Ideal for locations or processes where there is no hot water or steam available as a heating medium. The indirect air heaters are also used to keep large production halls at a desired temperature in winter.
