Direct and indirect air heating for the bakery and confectionery industry
Air Solutions Holland supplies direct and indirect fired air heaters for the bakery and confectionery industry. Think of baking bread, drying breadcrumbs or sweets, but also large production halls that are kept at a certain temperature in cold winters. Our air heaters work with fuels such as natural gas, biogas or diesel and even fuel oil. Ideal for locations or processes where there is no hot water or steam available as a heating medium.
For some processes in the bakery and confectionery industry, direct heating with a gas or oil burner is not recommended because of the combustion residues that can come into contact with the end product. To prevent this type of contamination Air Solutions Holland has developed an indirect heating system that works with the same fuels, but the process air never comes into contact with the flue gases that are discharged directly to the outside via the chimney.
The unique shape and design of the combustion chamber in combination with the flue gas heat exchanger gives an enormously high efficiency. The combustion air in the flue gas exchanger is cooled down as much as possible and even condensed to transfer extra energy to the process air stream. In this case, the combustion chamber and flue gas heat exchanger are made of stainless steel to prevent unwanted corrosion. The combustion chamber can be built into various assemblies, from air handling unit to duct version to room circulation unit. Eventually the flue gases are discharged to the outside through the chimney without coming into contact with the process air.
