Air/Air heat exchanger for bakery and confectionary industry
Heat recovery system based on direct energy exchange between 2 airflows by means of heat conduction through metal or plastic plates. The air can be passed through the exchanger in cross, counter or equal direction. Due to a wide choice of materials, applications are possible in case of high temperatures, aggressive and/or corrosive airflows. The big advantage is that the air flows are absolutely separated from each other, so cross contamination is not possible.
The efficiency of an air/air heat exchanger is between 50 and 80%. The energy demand can be optimally controlled with a bypass duct, the air flows are then controlled on temperature, humidity or enthalpy value.
